Forum of Central Asian Border Army Commanders

On April 27 and 28, 2023, the "Forum of the Secretary-General and Central Asian Border Commanders" was held in Vienna with the support of the OSCE. Mr. Babamurat Yagshimov, Deputy head of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan lead the Turkmen delegation in the forum. The main topics of the meeting was thematic developments related to Central Asian border security and management, including risks and challenges arising from Afghanistan, their impact on Central Asian and other countries, ways to strengthen regional cooperation and the role of the OSCE in this regard.
