A meeting between the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Hungary was held in Budapest

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a working visit to Budapest, met with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expanding the Turkmen-Hungarian partnership in a number of topical areas. Particular attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the political-diplomatic, energy, industrial, transport and communications sectors, as well as in the field of sports.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992. Since that time, the Turkmen-Hungarian cooperation, based on the bonds of friendship and mutual goodwill, has been constantly strengthening. At the same time, contacts at the highest and governmental levels are of particular importance.

The invariable commitment of the two countries to the course of further building up mutually beneficial partnership was confirmed during the talks held on the 9th of June this year between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who paid an official visit to Ashgabat.
