Turkmenistan Delegation Conducts Consultations with OSCE ODIHR in Warsaw

On 9 June 2025, a delegation from Turkmenistan held a series of meetings at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE ODIHR) in Warsaw. The visit marked a significant step in deepening cooperation in the human dimension and reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to dialogue and mutual understanding with international partners.
The delegation, comprising senior representatives of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan, and the media, engaged in comprehensive discussions with ODIHR’s leadership and departmental experts.
The meetings focused on key areas of ODIHR’s mandate, including electoral reform, legal review mechanisms, human rights protection, the role of women in political life, and the promotion of tolerance and non-discrimination. The delegation expressed appreciation for ODIHR’s constructive approach and emphasized Turkmenistan’s readiness to engage in constructive and institutionalised dialogue.
