Turkmenistan and Slovak Republic Sign Agreement on Economic Cooperation

On 5 August 2025, in Avaza, during the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Slovak Republic signed an Agreement on Economic Cooperation.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Mammetguly Astanagulov, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, and H.E. Viktor Borecký, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Turkmenistan.
This bilateral agreement serves as a foundational framework for strengthening and expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries. It envisages the establishment of a joint commission that will coordinate and promote mutual cooperation in various sectors of economic interest.
The signing marks an important step toward fostering dynamic and long-term economic collaboration between Turkmenistan and the Slovak Republic.
