THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN PARTICIPATED TO THE IX MEETING OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AKHAL-TEKE HORSE BREEDING

On April 26, 2019, the President of Turkmenistan arrived to the premises of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan to participate in the Ninth meeting of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding. Here, the Head of State was met by officials, foreign and local members of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, workers of the horse-breeding sphere of the country and the representatives of mass media.

The ceremony of photographing of the delegates and guests of the forum with the President of Turkmenistan was held in the Hall of the building. Then everyone proceeded to the Conference Hall.

Addressing the audience with the words "Welcome to the hospitable, sunny Turkmen land - the homeland of beautiful Akhal-Teke horses, famous in the world," President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated everyone with the opening of the Ninth meeting of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding.

The Head of State noted with satisfaction the fact that there is a growing interest to Akhal-Teke breed in the world which is a unique cultural heritage of Turkmen people, including the increase of experts and amateurs who want to grow our “heavenly” horses, and underlined that mutually beneficial partnership has been established between Turkmen horse breeders and their foreign colleagues. Highlighting the important role of the Association in international cooperation in the field of Akhal-Teke horse breeding, the Head of State expressed his confidence that interaction between members of this public organization will be strengthened and improved.

On the occasion of the Turkmen horse holiday that is annually celebrated in the last Sunday of April, an exhibition was organized in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan where the carpet oeuvres, masterpieces with the images of “heavenly stallions” in front of beautiful Turkmen nature, portrays and sculptures of “amazing horses,” including the national jewelry and equipment for horses were demonstrated.
