On the 16th of July, 2019, a meeting was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany in Turkmenistan Ms. Margret Uebber whose diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan has been completed.  

In the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed gratitude to Ms. Uebber for the personal contribution in the development of Turkmen-German relations.  In turn, the German diplomat noted that the work in Turkmenistan holds a special place in her diplomatic career.  

The parties noted the strengthening of political-diplomatic dialogue, economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation including the positive working experience in the framework of international organizations, particularly the UN and the OSCE.  For Turkmenistan, Germany is a strategically vital partner. Also, the countries successfully collaborate in the framework of the European Union. 

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of current issues including the opportunities for further widening of trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. In this regard, they expressed the hope for continuation of effective work of the joint Turkmen-German Work Group on Economic Cooperation. 

At the end of the meeting, Ms. Uebber once again expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support provided to her while carrying out the diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan aimed at strengthening of mutually beneficial ties between the two countries.
