THE JOINT TURKMEN-GEORGIAN COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL ROAD TRANSPORT BEGAN ITS WORK IN TBILISI

On October 21, 2019, the second meeting of the joint Turkmen-Georgian commission on international road transport began in Tbilisi.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Communication of Turkmenistan heads the Turkmen delegation; the Georgian side is headed by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The delegations shared information and statistics on trade turnover and volume of road transport between the two countries. A high growth rate in bilateral transport volumes and increasing demand for additional authorization forms for international bilateral, transit operations have been noted.

During the work of Commission, the Sides will discuss the issues of further fruitful development of cooperation in the field of international road transport in order to ensure the growth of economic cooperation between the two countries. The Turkmen delegation will also be participating in Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, which will be held on October 22-23, 2019.

The visit of Turkmen delegation will continue until October 25, 2019.
