TURKMEN DELEGATION VISITS VIENNA TO STRENGTHEN TRADE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION

On 22-23 October 2026, a delegation led by Mr. Batyr Volsahatov, Chairman of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, visited Vienna to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding trade relations between Turkmenistan and Austria.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings with Mr. Ernst Gauhs, President of the Vienna Agricultural Products Exchange and Mr. Karl Schneider, Secretary of the Exchange. A separate meeting was also held with Mr. Dražen Maloča, Head of Regional Management and Regional Director for South-East Europe and Eastern Europe/Central Asia at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ).

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, promoting commodity exchange, developing agricultural trade, and exploring new opportunities for mutually beneficial economic partnerships between Turkmenistan and Austria.

The meetings provided a platform for exchanging views and identifying avenues for closer institutional and commercial cooperation, contributing to the further development of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Austria.
