A regular meeting of the Austrian-Turkmen Society took place on October 5 at the “Yyldyz” hotel in Ashgabat. Participants included the head of the society, Neda Berger, representatives of Austrian and Turkmen companies, and figures from the arts community.

The agenda included welcoming remarks by the Society’s president, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Austria, and the Society’s secretary-general and vice-president, as well as the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, observed on September 27.

Particular attention was paid to the World Championship in equestrian sports, held in Pilbergen, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, from September 4 to 6, 2026. Turkmenistan and Turkmen Akhal-Teke horses participated in this championship for the first time.

In addition, participants were introduced to the society’s updated website—featuring new sections—and a new project titled "The Voice of Turkmen Youth Today: The Voice of Turkmenistan’s Future," which is being implemented with the participation of the younger generation. Plans for an anniversary event scheduled to take place in Ashgabat in 2027 were also discussed, and the participants' views and proposals were heard.
