Seismological science and international partners

On April 18, 2023, representatives of the Institute of Seismology and Atmosphere Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan met with their counterparts from the Provisional Technical Secretariat of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

During the meeting, the Turkmen side shared the experience gained in Turkmenistan in the field of seismology, ongoing works and established cooperation with international partners. The importance of the State Program on comprehensive development of seismological science in Turkmenistan for 2022-2028 was as well emphasized.

At the same time, special attention was paid to the seismological services of the CTBTO International Data Center and the International Monitoring System, and parties interested in developing active cooperation in this regard.
