The opening ceremony of the CTBT: Science and Technology conference 2023

Today, on June 19, 2023, the opening ceremony of the CTBT: Science and Technology conference 2023 was held in the Hofburg palace of Vienna, Austria. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Austria H.Amannazarov personally attended the event and representatives of the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan virtually joined the conference.

During the conference, representatives of the world's scientific-educational and relevant government agencies and technology manufacturers discuss the earth related verification systems, knowledge, challenges, seismological developments, and opportunities for high-quality technologies.

The event is traditionally held every two years by the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBT) and its seventh edition is being held on 19-23 June 2023.
