Meeting with the IAEA Head

During the meeting, the officials discussed the realization of technical cooperation projects in the areas such as the development of radiotherapy services, radioactive waste management, improvement of national legislation and coordination, as well as the tasks envisaged within the projects.

The participants of the meeting also positively valued the active bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on further prospects.

The meeting of delegations headed by the Deputy Minister of Defence of Turkmenistan and the IAEA DDG – Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation took place in the sidelines of the International Conference on Nuclear Security: Shaping the Future, which was held in Vienna on 20-24 May 2024.
