An official delegation of Turkmenistan, consisting of representatives of the relevant State bodies, attended the twelfth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC COP12) from 14 to 18 October 2024.

During the above-mentioned multilateral meeting, the Turkmen delegation underlined the significance of the Convention and the activities carried out in this direction. It was also noted the valuable role of UNODC in promoting the realisation of the provisions of this document. In this connection, as a State party to the UNTOC Convention from 2005, Turkmenistan will further continue active co-operation with UNODC in the implementation of the tasks arising from this document.

The UNTOC COP is held every two years and its 12th session, held at the UN Headquarters in Vienna, brought together representatives from over 128 countries at various levels.
