Exhibition “30 years of Neutrality of Turkmenistan” held in Vienna
Vienna, April 8, 2025 — In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and in alignment with the motto of 2025 – the “International Year of Peace and Trust,” celebrated worldwide pursuant to the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly initiated by Turkmenistan – the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Vienna organized a dedicated exhibition. The event showcased a curated collection of books and cultural-historical artifacts reflecting the essence, history, and contemporary relevance of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality.
Among the exhibited works were distinguished publications by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. These literary contributions hold exceptional value in offering deep insights into Turkmenistan’s philosophy of neutrality, its peaceful foreign policy, and the country’s consistent commitment to international dialogue and cooperation. They served for the visitors of the exhibition as important reference materials that underscore Turkmenistan’s role as a reliable partner in the global community and illustrate the nation’s dedication to upholding peace, security, and sustainable development.
Organized within the framework of Nowruz Bayram celebration, the exhibition drew a diverse audience. Attendees included Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives accredited to the United Nations, the OSCE, and other international organizations in Vienna, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international institutions and media, as well as youth and students from Turkmenistan, Austria, and other countries currently pursuing their studies at Austrian universities. The event fostered a warm atmosphere of cultural exchange and mutual understanding, highlighting Turkmenistan’s enduring message of peace and trust.
