To enter Turkmenistan and subsequently return to their homeland, individuals should contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Embassy of their respective country, which in turn is expected to submit an official Note Verbale to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan or the Embassy of Turkmenistan abroad.

Consular jurisdiction of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Vienna covers the Republic of Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and the Slovak Republic; therefore, visa requests for nationals of these countries can be processed by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Vienna.

Practice suggests that the processing may take approximately 2 to 5 working days.
