Vienna, Austria – July 28, 2025 – The Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan, under the direction of Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rasul Klychev, had the distinguished honor of opening the World Orchestra Festival 2025 with a performance at the iconic Vienna City Hall.

This year’s invitation to open the festival was extended to the Turkmen ensemble as laureates of the 2024 festival, where they captivated audiences and jury members alike, earning the gold award in the “Chamber Orchestra” category.

As part of their 2025 performance program, the orchestra will present a piece by Franz Schubert, offering a platform for the young musicians to demonstrate their refined technique and expressive artistry on the international stage once again.

The World Orchestra Festival 2025, held from July 23 to 26, has brought together over 400 orchestras from across the globe. The event features concerts, competitions, and masterclasses, culminating in a grand gala concert.

The Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan made its debut at the festival just last year and has quickly established itself as a standout participant in this prestigious international event. Their continued success reflects the growing recognition of Turkmenistan’s rich musical culture and the high level of its young performers.
