Turkmenistan delegation attends 68th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND)
Vienna, Austria – March 10, 2025 – A high-level delegation from Turkmenistan participated in the 68th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) at the United Nations Office in Vienna. The session, which brought together representatives from Member States, international organizations, focused on global drug policy, international cooperation, and strategies to combat narcotics trafficking.
The Turkmenistan delegation, led by Mr. Yazguly Agabayev, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening international efforts in combating drug-related challenges and promoting a balanced approach between law enforcement and public health measures. Turkmenistan emphasized its active engagement in regional and international initiatives aimed at countering drug trafficking, reducing drug abuse, and fostering multilateral cooperation.
The delegation also took part in side events, where they exchanged best practices with international counterparts and explored innovative approaches to strengthening global drug policies.
