Meeting at the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens

On 5 August 2025, a meeting took place at the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens in Vienna between Dr. Heinz Fischer, Co-Chair of the Centre and former President of Austria, Ms. Monika Froehler, Chief Executive Officer of the Centre, and Mr. H. Amannazarov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Austria.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including sustainable development, education, climate action, and international dialogue. Both parties emphasized the importance of multilateral engagement and the need for collaborative efforts to address global challenges.

Ambassador Amannazarov highlighted Turkmenistan’s initiatives in regional cooperation, energy diplomacy, and the promotion of peace and security.

The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to further explore opportunities for cooperation through dialogue, exchange, and joint initiatives.
