Ambassador H. Amanazarov met with OSCE Secretary General to Discuss Neutrality Policy and Regional Security Cooperation

On 13 October 2025, a meeting was held between Ambassador H. Amanazarov and OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to Turkmenistan’s cooperation with the OSCE Secretariat and the autonomous institutions of the Organization.
It was noted that Turkmenistan proceeds from the understanding that its policy of neutrality, based on trust and mutual respect, serves as an effective instrument for strengthening stability, preventing conflicts, and promoting international cooperation. In this context, the international initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at advancing the policy of neutrality were highlighted, in particular, the upcoming International Forum on Neutrality, which will be held in Ashgabat on 12 December 2025.
In addition, the parties discussed OSCE regional initiatives for Central Asia aimed at enhancing intra-regional cooperation in ensuring the security of internal and external borders of the region and countering transnational threats. The importance of maintaining the mechanism for holding meetings between the heads of border services of Central Asian countries and the OSCE Secretary General was particularly emphasised.
